The light switch on the ceiling may be the most interesting thing in CVS’s North Asheville restrooms.

There’s a light switch on the ceiling inside the men’s water closet at CVS Pharmacy in North Asheville. We couldn’t reach the switch, so we can’t say for sure what it operates. Maybe that’s the power switch for the whole City of Asheville? When the end time comes, the Mayor will call down to CVS and say, “throw the ceiling switch!” Okay, maybe that’s the cough medicine we bought talking. Let’s face it, we’re dancing around the fact that there wasn’t much else of interest in these johns, but, hey, it’s a CVS Pharmacy not Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse.  Decor = 3

CVS is famous for its Minute Clinic. We believe any place that does even the most minor medical procedures, such as the restrooms in Food Lion Skatepark, should have a clean public facility. CVS rises to the occasion with a generally clean men’s bathroom. Still, we wouldn’t want even the simplest outpatient procedure done on us in the bedraggled men’s toilet stall.  Cleanliness = 5

There was a handy plunger at the ready in the men’s toilet stall.  Amenities = 2

TOTAL = 10
